HS robotician, there is an outing on this friday!
straight after sports day.
there is some information to take note abt this outing;
straight after sports day, go home and change (bathe,etc)
meet at hougang point at 1.40pm.
we maybe going out for a movie ,lunch.
so bring enough or extra money for this outing,ezlink card.
those who want to go,pls contact marcus,pls don bother bra(he very tired)
we hope everyone can attend this outing, as it might be a veri important outing to bond us together.
pls inform ur parents abt it.as ur safety is veri concern for parents.
this is not a school event.
if u are sick on that day,pls inform me.
Regrading the venue, it will be at Vivo City or Plaza S'pore.

Hello to all HS Robotician.
just want to mention something in this post abt myself.
really want to let u guys know how much robotics club meant to me.
i 1st join HS robotics club during sec 2.
as soon i join the club,i tagged with my best fren,Mr.Guai to participate in the ITE TAMPINES rescue mission competition.due to great help from Mr.Azizi,we managed to won the champion and the best performance robot.
i feel veri happy at that moment.well.bra told me that we(me and mr guai) did a great job.
from that moment of time,it's my turning point of life.
just to let ur know,i was simply a rascal during pri sch and sec 1.
HS robotics had made me changed for the better,and 'cut' off all my bad habits..
i promised myself to be one of the best robotician in HS, perhaps in naiton.
for my skills now,im only managed to be one of the best robotician in HS.
Mr Guai is the best robotician in our club.
followed up by ah ho, me ,cher ling, yi kuang.
well, just want to let u know .
robotics is not only abt how to let u have good skills, winning EXP.
but most importantly, it coaches u to be more disciplined after every competition,the lesson will definitely filled with tears and joy,IF u put in hard work in it.
IF u dont, or mentally not prepared tat u cant do it, u think tat u are dumber than others,pls leave the club now.
i always believe in my big bro's sentence; "no one is stupid,once u have tat thinking in ur mind,you will always be a one, if u believe in urself,u are smart, u can do it, u are a successor."
i believe in myself, do u?
think abt it,when is the last time u did something that make urself 'filled'?
i had changed.have you?
as a treasurer,i know i have not much power as bra or ho, but just wanna let u ppl know tat.
once u step into the robotics room, we will let u win, and gain alot of priceless and valuable lessons tat benefits urself and the ppl around u.

We are here to talk and correct the HS Robotics Chairman's words below.

We are not here to scold anyone.
We are here to make your ppl understand what attitude and behaviour your should be holding during competition. (Know wad to do, know how to help ur leaders)
I (marc) will talk more abt this during the speech by me and bra.
Sec 1 ,i cant really talk more abt your habits and attitude, so don worry.BUT i will be watching you.
Sec 2, i am veri focusing on your,your have the responsbility to maintain the club's reputation by obtaining and achieve the same or even better results than us(the sec4 batch).
Sec 3, there are only 2 ppl.so i'll expect good results from u 2.so good luck.

Hi all robotics members, this is Bra here. Just wanna say some stuff after the competitions.
Overall, I think you guys did very well during the competition although you did not manage to achieve any prizes. Important thing is to learn from where you and your seniors made mistakes and perhaps you can win again in future. One possible reason why we did not win was probably the lack of time. This is for MM and sumo. Both the robots were brought in for use only very late and fine tuning could not be done properly. Anyways, what is done is done. I just want to encourage you guys to keep up the good work!
Oh btw, the debrief next Friday is cancelled as it is sports day. So maybe next time then we shall hold a meeting. Other than that, nothing much already. Oh for the seniors, from Sec 2 to Sec 3, we want to hold a meeting with you guys before the GP competition. Will let you guys know more about it.
Now people have been asking me about what are the upcoming competitions. Well, the next one is for the Sec 2’s only. Almost all the Sec 2’s will be participating in this competition. This competition is called the Robo GP which stands for Robotics Grand Prix. As you can tell from the name, it is a competition where racing is involved. This competition will be on the 14th, 15th and 16th March and will be held at Funan centre. As this is during the March holidays, you can always come down and support your seniors who are playing. On how to get there, very simple. Take MRT to City Hall and alight there. After that, take Exit B (I THINK ONLY…PLS LOOK FIRST) and walk out on main road then walk left all the way till you hit Funan. The best way is for me to show you myself so probably for those who are interested to go, I can bring you guys there one day. For the Sec 2’s, I do hope you guys know what the groupings are and for the girl’s team, Kevin will be your mentor. For the guy’s team, Chandruth will be your mentor. We intend to hold a briefing before you guys go for the training on the 5th of March. Kevin and Chandruth will discuss with me before more instructions are made.
Now this is the more interesting part. Where does the Sec 1’s start to have involvement in the club again? This will be something new. In term 2 and 3, we will be holding training sessions within school itself to train you guys about the NXT and the RCX. These machines are the Lego machines and they come in very handy. We want you to learn the program. At the end of each term, a mini competition will be held within the robotics club to test whether you guys have mastered the program. Of course, prizes will be arranged. YAY!
Ok, that was for the Sec 1’s. I have a little more planned for the Sec 2’s. Similar to the Sec 1’s, the Sec 2;s will be learning the NXT and the RCX as well. Btw, this only goes out to SOME of the Sec two’s only. This is regarding MM as well as GP. I will be asking you guys to meet up regularly to prepare for next year’s MM and GP. This one I will be discussing with some of you personally.
Lastly, I wanted to state this on the competition day but I had no time. What I wanted to say is that your Sec 4 seniors will be stepping down effective from that day. So actually, the club is now going to be run by Yi Kuang, your Sec 3 senior. However, we shall still be around to advise you guys whenever you need it. For the rest of the committee members like vice-chairman and treasurer, we shall be deciding that only later. Chairman, Vice-chairman and Treasurer; these are only just names. In truth, all these 3 people have worked extremely hard to bring up the club to what it is today. Not forgetting the Project ICs. People like Yi Kuang (MM), Nick (Soccer) and Marcus (Sumo). These people also have helped the top three in many ways. Why am I saying this? The reason is to prepare some of you because at the end of this year, I will be helping Yi Kuang to assign some of you to take up some leadership posts in the club. Because the club is constantly expanding, the chairman can no longer do things by himself anymore. Some of the leadership positions include:

3. Treasurer
4. NMRC IC
5. Soccer IC
6. Sumo IC
7. MM IC
8. GP IC
9. Bull’s eye programming IC
10. Bull’s eye mechanical IC
We shall only be discussing this at the end of the year. The new committee that is supposed to be taking over the club will be decided soon.
